My name is Monica Fontes Holland,

but my friends and family call me Moj. I am an Australian–Portuguese self-taught artist, creating hand-painted watercolour and gouache illustrations inspired by the colours, people and patterns of everyday life and the world around me.

I have been drawing since I was a little girl, and my work is shaped by my upbringing in Australia, my Portuguese background and my travels through special places that continue to stay with me.

Through bold colour palettes, fun lines and playful scenes, my illustrations reflect a love of colour and an appreciation for the little things in this life.
