My name is Monica Fontes Holland,

I am an Australian–Portuguese self-taught artist, creating hand-painted watercolour and gouache illustrations inspired by the colours, people and patterns of everyday life and the world around me.

I have been drawing since I was a little girl, and my work is shaped by my upbringing in Australia, my Portuguese background and my travels through special places that continue to stay with me.
